This week, read Tar Beach, by Faith Ringgold, as we celebrate Black History Month. Meet Cassie Louise Lightfoot, who lives in New York City. Find out if she can really fly above her apartment building in Harlem. Following the story, create Cassie’s favorite dessert (ice cream!) at home.
