Storytelling
Little New-Yorkers @ Home
Tuesday, February 9 and Friday, February 12 | 3:30 pm ET

Free; ages 3-6

Join us via Zoom every Tuesday and Friday for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special Little New-Yorkers hello song, silly dances and songs, a story book reading, and a craft to do at home. This week, celebrate Black History Month and Valentine’s Day! Read The Power of Her Pen—written by Lesa Cline-Ransome and illustrated by John Parra—and learn about Ethel L. Payne, a journalist who had an ear for stories. Find out how Ethel looked for stories of truth, justice, and equality. Afterwards, create a newspaper Valentine’s Day card that tells a story of love.
