Sunday Story Time: Flying High: The Story of Gymnastics Champion Simone Biles
Sunday, February 13 at 11:30 am

Free with Museum admission; ages 3-6

Join us every Sunday in person for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story. Welcome to Black History Month! All month long we will be learning about and celebrating the accomplishments of Black people throughout history!

This book, written by Michelle Meadows and illustrated by Ebony Glenn, tells the story of Olympic champion Simone Biles. Ever since she was little, Simone has been full of energy. Discovering gymnastics at the age of 6 was Simone’s first step to becoming a gold medalist and being crowned the greatest gymnast of all time! After the story, create your own pipe cleaner gymnast to flip and twirl just like Simone!

Please note that this is not a drop-off program—child participants must be accompanied by an adult. Capacity limits, vaccination proof (for those 5 and up) plus matching ID (for those ages 12 and up), and mask requirements apply. Please find all our safety information here.
